TP-LINK Maintains Lead in Global WLAN Market in 2012

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif., March 27, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The latest IDC WLAN tracking report reveals TP-LINK has maintained a dominant lead in the global WLAN market share rankings by units shipped in Q4 of 2012, continuing to lead the industry in global WLAN market share in the whole of 2012. IDC is a leading IT market research and advisory, ranking the world's wireless networking equipment vendors by product shipments and revenues.

With a 36.36% share of the WLAN market based on unit shipments in Q4, according to IDC's final Q4 2012 release of the Worldwide Quarterly WLAN Tracker, the company's market share is far beyond that of other leading brands, almost 20 percent ahead of TP-LINK's nearest competitor, and even higher than the next 4 tracked brands' market share combined.
