TPR Holdings and Susan G. Komen for the Cure Unite to Develop Promise Me Fragrance
NEW YORK, Oct. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- TPR Holdings, a consumer products manufacturing and distribution company led by its President and beauty industry veteran Brian Robinson, has joined forces with Susan G. Komen for the Cure® to launch a union of beauty and charity. Robinson, founder of ZIRH Men's Skincare and the driving force behind fragrance mainstays John Varvatos and French Connection, along with his TPR Holdings team, presents the first ever fragrance developed for Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the world's largest breast cancer organization. "Promise Me" is the first and only proprietary fragrance developed with Susan G. Komen for the Cure as a beautiful way to honor those who have been touched by breast cancer and encourage those who have not to support this vital cause. TPR Holdings will donate 13.5% of all Promise Me sales to the Susan G. Komen organization. TPR has made a commitment to guarantee a minimum donation of $1,000,000. The name of the fragrance was taken from the recent book Promise Me written by Susan Komen for the Cure founder and CEO Nancy Brinker.
"With fifteen years in the beauty industry, I wanted to lend my expertise to a profound cause," says Robinson. "We worked closely with top perfumers to infuse the essence of the Susan G. Komen message into a fragrance that really gives back and brings hope to those suffering from breast cancer."
"We're always grateful for the support of so many who want to join the Komen family and help support this life-saving work," Brinker said. "We are especially pleased that TPR Holdings is helping to spread breast cancer education and awareness through this partnership — the need is still very great for women to be informed about this disease."
The Promise Me fragrance will launch in all distribution channels offering a 3.4oz EDP fragrance in a collectible bottle for prestige at $59.00, and a 3.4oz. EDT perfume for mass at $29.99 along with a unique gift set for television shopping. There will also be smaller sizes available for alternate distribution channels. Each Promise Me fragrance will include a Komen for the Cure informational insert to raise breast cancer awareness, detailing the organization and the contribution each purchase makes to Komen, as well as a limited edition scented bracelet with a Susan G. Komen charm. The fragrance will launch in April of 2011 and remain on the market for six months with new editions launching each year. Retailers to have already confirmed distribution include Sephora in JC Penney, Ulta and Home Shopping Network.
Promise Me developed by Drom fragrances and famed perfumer Jean Claude Delville — creator of Clinique Happy, Vera Wang and more — will speak to strong, courageous women who live life to the fullest. Promise Me is a tribute to the beauty and strength of each and every woman fighting breast cancer. The sophisticated floriental features touches of citrus, green, musk and wood notes for a clean, fresh yet sensual aroma. Packaging was designed by Chad Lavigne and is housed in an elegant glass vessel with interior floral motif; Promise Me is a beautiful display item and gift.
