HELSINKI, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Anna Ronkainen, Chief Scientist at TrademarkNow, has been elected to the executive committee of the International Association of Artificial Intelligence and Law (IAAIL), the company announced today. IAAIL is a nonprofit association devoted to promoting research and development in the field of AI and Law, with members throughout the world. Ronkainen was elected to IAAIL's executive committee at the organization's 15th international conference, held this month in San Diego.
"TrademarkNow's software is at the direct intersection of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and the law, and it's a field that I've been passionately studying for the past 15 years," Ronkainen said. "With my interest in the future of artificial intelligence and its impact on the law, I'm very excited to be elected to the IAAIL executive committee. I welcome the opportunity to continue exploring, discussing, and teaching how artificial intelligence is changing the broader legal tech landscape, as well as the way trademark law, specifically, is conducted."
Ronkainen's election to the IAAIL executive committee capped a busy and successful first half of 2015 for TrademarkNow, including:
