Tramontina Expands Global Manufacturing with New Joint Venture in India

Strategic Partnership with Aequs to Strengthen Presence in Indian and International Markets

SUGAR LAND, Texas, Feb. 18, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tramontina, a global leader in kitchenware and housewares, has announced a joint venture with Aequs Private Ltd. to expand its manufacturing capabilities in India. The new entity, Aequs Cookware Pvt. Ltd. (ACPL), will produce premium cookware and consumer goods for the Indian market and global distribution.

This partnership marks Tramontina's first manufacturing facility outside the Americas, underscoring the company's commitment to international growth. ACPL will operate within the Hubballi Durable Goods Cluster (HDC), a 400-acre industrial hub in Hubballi, India, designed specifically to support the consumer goods sector. The venture represents a strategic investment of up to $800 million rupees ($9.2 million USD).
