Transamerica appoints new Head of Corporate Communications

BALTIMORE, June 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Transamerica – part of Aegon Americas – has appointed Gregory Tucker as Senior Vice President, Head of Americas Corporate Communications, effective July 1, 2013.  Mr. Tucker, who has been responsible for global corporate communications for Aegon N.V. in The Hague, The Netherlands since 2006 will now be responsible for leading the communications of Aegon's largest country unit which operates under the prominent Transamerica brand.  Mr. Tucker will be based in Baltimore, Maryland.

In his more than 25 years as a communications professional, Mr. Tucker has held a number of leading communications roles in government, non-profit, the arts as well as financial services.  He joined Aegon in 2004.
