TransMedia Hired to Publicize 'BP' Campaign; Portion of T-Shirt Sales Go to Environmental Groups Helping Clean-Up Efforts. Campaign Intends to Support Inventors of Oil Spill Solutions

BOCA RATON, Fla., June 21 /PRNewswire/ -- One of the Florida's largest PR firms, TransMedia Group, said today it was hired to join the battle against oil that is attacking Gulf States by publicizing the "BP" Campaign.  

A portion of the proceeds from t-shirt sales at will go to wildlife rescue and environmental groups working on oil spill cleanup efforts. The BP Campaign also plans to motivate and support ingenuity on the part of inventors who come up with practical and effective solutions to the oil mess affecting the entire Gulf region, TransMedia said.

The award-winning firm ( has tangled in the past with BP in having represented disgruntled BP station owners.  This time the firm says the enemy is the oil attacking beaches, wildlife and the economic livelihoods of millions of people from Louisiana to Florida..

The message on the t-shirt is straight to the point, says Spicer who knows the public wants to vent its anger with British Petroleum anyway it can.

Spicer has already sold thousands of the off-yellow and green t-shirts, featuring a pelican on top. "Now with our publicity, we expect many thousands of new people will become part of the BP Campaign which gives the public an opportunity to make a statement and a difference," Hervis said.
