ARLINGTON, Va., Dec. 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Tremolo Security today announced the latest release of their cloud native identity management system Unison and their open source project OpenUnison. In a blog post on their website, CTO Marc Boorshtein, points out the power of cloud native solutions, "What makes the cloud native revolution so important is its ability to give you both the control of local infrastructure while having the speed of Software as a Service. This power shouldn't be slowed down by adding identity management, it should be accelerated."
Marc goes on to note that one of the primary challenges of identity management is that the person who owns your application deployments generally don't own the enterprise's identities, which are usually stored in Active Directory, creating a roadblock for the secure adoption and deployment of cloud native systems. Tremolo Security's Unison and open source project OpenUnison provide lightweight systems that minimize this risk by allowing application owners to manage their own identity data while still authenticating against a centralized service. "We're able to use technology to quickly get around a common organizational issue in enterprises while increasing security and compliance, that's hard to find," says CTO Marc Boorshtein.
This release adds features specific to integrating with the Kubernetes project and integrating with Red Hat's OpenShift to provide the identity management services needed to maintain an enterprise's security and compliance requirements while gaining the benefits of cloud native applications and systems. Unison and OpenUnison are available at Tremolo Security's web site as well as from Tremolo Security's Dockerhub Repo with Red Hat certified docker images coming soon.
