CHICAGO, Nov. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Tribune Media Company Charitable Foundation today announced it is donating a total of $50,000 to two organizations dedicated to assisting the recovery efforts in Puerto Rico following Hurricanes Irma and María. The organizations, Hispanic Federation and Juntos Y Unidos Por Puerto Rico, will each receive a grant of $25,000.

The mission of the Hispanic Federation is to empower and advance the Hispanic community by providing grants and services to a broad network of Latino non-profit agencies serving the most vulnerable members of the Hispanic community. Juntos Y Unidos Por Puerto Rico was founded by the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Rosselló Juntos, and provides assistance to individuals and small businesses impacted by the recent hurricanes.
The Tribune Media Company Charitable Foundation previously donated $100,000 to the Greater Houston Community Foundation's Hurricane Harvey Relief Fund following the devastation caused by that storm in Houston and the surrounding area.
