In its inaugural year, the awards honor 1,263 of the world's top landmarks, parks, museums and amusement and water parks.

Winners are found in 39 countries around the world including regional lists for Africa, Asia, Australia, the Caribbean, Central America, China, Europe, India, Mexico, the Middle East, South America, the South Pacific, and the United States.

The Travelers' Choice Attractions awards were determined based on the quality and quantity of traveler reviews of attractions, featured on TripAdvisor, in each of the categories.
