LOS ANGELES, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Renowned songwriter, producer, and DJ, Goonrock was awarded two ASCAP's awards tonight for his collaboration with pop duo LMFAO during the 29th Annual ASCAP Pop Music Awards in Hollywood. Goonrock co-wrote and produced "Party Rock Anthem" and "Sexy And I Know It", both winning Pop Award-Most Performed Song In ASCAP Repertoire 2011 award.

"Party Rock Anthem" received an impressive number of awards and distinctions, namely "Song of The Summer" by Billboard after spending six consecutive weeks at #1 on the US Billboard Top 100, as well as charting in most countries around the world. The song then went platinum 6x in Canada, and 5x in the United States. Reaching #1 on YouTube's Top 100, Goonrock was featured in the official music video for "Party Rock Anthem", receiving an unprecedented 421,279,333 views and counting.

"Party Rock Anthem" was inescapable in 2011. LMFAO performed the hit track at the Super Bowl. "Party Rock Anthem" was featured in KIA's long-running Hamster commercial, as well as on the hit shows Dancing with the Stars and So You Think You Can Dance. "Party Rock Anthem" took home "Favorite Music Video of the Year" at the 2012 NRJ Music Awards, and "Favorite Song of the Year" at the 2012 Kids' Choice Awards.

"Sexy and I Know It" topped charts worldwide, reaching #1 in UK, Canada, Denmark, Ireland, Austria, Japan and New Zealand. The track hit #1 on Billboard's R&B/Hip Hop Top 100 and the Billboard Hot 100, remaining there for two weeks. This was the first time since OutKast's "Hey Ya!" (2003) and "The Way You Move" (2004) that a group has had two successive number-one singles on the Billboard Hot 100 in the United States.
