Acquisition deepens Canopy A&D's international platform and reflects Trive Capital's strategy of building proven middle-market companies into higher-value businesses

DALLAS, Sept. 1, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Canopy Aerospace & Defense ("Canopy A&D"), a portfolio company of Trive Capital, today announced the acquisition of Aviotec S.r.l. ("Aviotec"), a Turin, Italy-based supplier of multi-layer insulation (MLI) blankets and electrical harnesses for satellites and spacecraft, Aviotec provides in-house design, analysis, manufacturing, and integration capabilities for institutional and commercial space programs across Europe.

The acquisition is being completed through Canopy International B.V. ("Canopy International"), Canopy A&D's EU-based platform overseeing all European operations and strategic growth initiatives. Based in Amsterdam and coordinating teams across the wider region, Canopy International provides local leadership, regulatory and customer support, and design and integration expertise aligned with the needs of institutional and commercial space programs across Europe.

Canopy A&D continues its significant growth into a vertically integrated platform for critical aerospace and defense materials and manufacturing.
