True Temper® and ToolBank® USA Partner to Equip More Volunteers from Coast to Coast

ATLANTA, Feb. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- ToolBank USA and Ames True Temper® announced today a partnership which will provide over $145,000 in True Temper® branded tools to ongoing ToolBank community efforts. The tools will be used by volunteers and charitable organizations for projects, both large and small, including building and renovation of community playgrounds, churches and community park updates, to name a few.

The relationship began in 2012 with an initial donation of True Temper tools to the Baltimore Community ToolBank.  This latest support will help stock two new ToolBanks in Portland, Ore., and Houston, Texas, as well as a new ToolBank Disaster Services mobile unit, which will deploy in late 2013 to support disaster-stricken communities.

Ames True Temper President, Les Ireland, became a founding board member of the Baltimore Community ToolBank in 2010.  Ireland recently made the move from the Baltimore board to the ToolBank USA Board of Directors.
