Storj CEO Colby Winegar added: "This partnership exemplifies the future of data protection—combining TrueNAS's reliable storage solutions with Storj's distributed cloud platform to deliver secure, scalable, and sustainable backup options. TrueCloud Backup gives businesses the edge they need to manage data growth and evolving risks without compromise."

Key Features of TrueCloud Backup:

  • Blazing Speed: 41% faster recovery than AWS for seamless business continuity.
  • Global Fault Tolerance: Built-in resilience ensures uptime and data integrity across workloads, unlike other cloud providers that store data in a single data center or region.
  • Zero-Knowledge Encryption: Data remains private and secure, with only the customer holding the encryption keys.
  • Transparent Pricing: Just $5 per terabyte per month, including downloads, with no hidden fees or surprises.

Storj's architecture leverages distributed architecture, erasure coding, and a security-first design to ensure better recovery point objectives (RPO) and recovery time objectives (RTO) than traditional cloud providers. Paired with TrueNAS's reliable and scalable storage solutions, this offering empowers businesses to implement best-in-class ransomware protection and disaster recovery strategies.

With growing attention to the cost, complexity, and environmental impact of traditional backup solutions, TrueCloud Backup exceeds expectations not only on technical excellence, but also on sustainability and scalability. Its distributed design reduces unnecessary resource usage, supporting long-term organizational and environmental goals.
