TruStar Energy Hires Fleet Expert Steve Phillips

A 26-year veteran of the transportation industry, Steve has been instrumental over the past couple of years in developing Werner Enterprise's CNG trucking fleet. He will now put that knowledge and experience to work by helping TruStar Energy's customers make the switch to CNG—a cleaner, cheaper and quieter alternative to diesel fuel.

Over the course of his career, Steve has held numerous leadership positions in marketing, sales and operations in the transportation industry. In that role, he managed all equipment, terminal, security, and sustainability operations as well as the testing and on-boarding of the company's CNG fleet. Steve's accountability for fuel efficiencies and sustainability at the carrier saved the company more than 100 million gallons of fuel and reduced CO₂ emissions by one million tons over the past seven years. His success as a top carrier executive has won him tremendous respect from his peers, and his drive and passion for sustainability have set him apart as an industry leader.
