TruStile Debuts New Modern Door Collection at 2013 American Institute of Architects (AIA) National Convention

With this new collection, TruStile once again combines thoughtful design, quality construction and cutting edge customization capabilities to provide design professionals and homeowners with dramatic new options for modern doors.

TruStile's new modern offering includes bold new door styles and exceptional new material options that prove stile and rail doors are not just for homes with traditional character.

The TruStile Modern (TM) Door Collection offers many new door elevations based on the core concept of stacked horizontal rails separated by minimal reveals. The stacked rail design upends the idea that flush doors are the solution in a modern setting.  TruStile's stacked rail design provides an elegant solution with subtle amounts of depth and dimension to elevate any modern space. The TM Door Collection is offered both in 9 and 13 rail options and with the choice of either an 1/8" radius reveal for a clean minimal look or the 1/4" kerf cut for bold strong lines between the rails.

To embellish the base design, choose to substitute any wood rail or panel with a variety of new and inspiring modern material inserts – from glass and resin to metal and leather. Among these incredible new inserts are Bendheim^® glass and 3Form^® resin options that provide the opportunity to incorporate some of today's most popular design trends including textures, geometric patterns and reflective surfaces.

Accompanying this latest offering is another breakthrough in the industry: the ability to replace any rail or panel with decorative metal or leather inserts. TruStile has partnered with Edelman^® Leather to include the finest leather finishes as part of the new Modern Door Collection.  In addition, architectural supplier Chemetal^® will supply polished and perfected metals to give TruStile doors a unique textured look unlike any other.

Finally, TruStile is expanding its wood species offering with three new material options to complement its new modern designs - Bamboo, Laminated Veneered Lumber (LVL) and Wenge.  Each of these stunning new materials answers a different design trend. Bamboo is eco-friendly and rapidly renewable to compliment green building.  LVL is an engineered wood with a rustic appeal that is perfect for the urban loft movement.  Wenge has a naturally dramatic, dark grain with a prominent texture that satisfies the desire to use more dark woods in interior design.
