The system replaces UniStream Playlist, which is used by broadcasters to remotely generate live linear feeds and stream them to any internet-connected device.
Using Cloud Playout's intuitive user interface, video files are uploaded to Tulix's servers and scheduled to play back in any desired sequence days or weeks in advance. This allows users to create around-the-clock broadcasts from recorded content. Broadcasters can also include advertisements in their streams, either through direct insertion in the Cloud Playout scheduling system or on-the-fly with ad-insertion and content-replacement systems.
The new Cloud Playout is a complete overhaul of the previous system with seamless file-to-file transition and a powerful back-end created using the latest technology. The system is based on strong core features that maintain simplicity and accessibility while providing the highest level of playout quality with numerous important features, including analytics and embeddable players for the generated live feeds and all uploaded VOD assets.
Using Cloud Playout offers numerous benefits to broadcasters compared to traditional hardware-based solutions.
