Turk Telekom's Young Customers Create Their Own World with Avatar

Turk Telekom has recently launched a technological breakthrough service for the first time in the world, called Avatar. The service enables the subscribers of Turk Telekom's newly launched youth brand, Selfy, to customize the carrier name on their mobile phone display with the new innovative service Avatar. Subscribers can write their names or their best quotes up to 15 characters instead of the carrier name. Avatar service, fully developed at Turk Telekom's R&D Center in Istanbul, has been drawing great attention in Turkey since its launch. More than 500,000 Avatar change requests were received in a month. 

As Turkey's leading communication and entertainment technologies company, Turk Telekom offers a wide range of benefits to the youth with its new youth brand Selfy and opens the doors to a world of advantages. Selfy subscribers are the first customers in the world, who can customize the carrier name on their mobile phone display according to their preferences. Selfy's young customers aged 25 and below can also choose their own packages and campaigns in line with their communication and entertainment needs.

The first personalization of carrier name service in the world  

Avatar is different than other similar services as it is a fully SIM Card based service and it doesn't have any detrimental effect on mobile phones. It is also compatible with all GSM devices and advantageous with its high speed processing through SMS. Avatar is also more secure than other similar services. It never requires any permission to access the operating system of devices. All Turk Telekom customers aged 25 and below can subscribe to Selfy free of charge by sending an SMS to 4545 writing "SELFY".
