Turner Construction, the Lead Building Contractor of the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial, Celebrates Industry Pioneers at Dedication
WASHINGTON, Oct. 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As the lead contractor for the MTTG Joint Venture team responsible for designing and building the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial, Turner Construction Company (TCC) continues to commemorate this historic project by celebrating living pioneers in the architecture, engineering and construction industries. TCC specifically recognizes its Sr. Vice President of Community Affairs Mr. Hilton O. Smith, as a Lifetime Pioneer.

MTTG Joint Venture (comprised of McKissack & McKissack, Turner Construction Company, Tompkins Builders and Gilford) was selected as the architect and builder for the Martin Luther King Jr. National Memorial on the National Mall which will be officially dedicated by President Barack Obama on Sunday, October 16, 2011.
