Turner Universal to Build Von Braun Complex, Phase IV Missile Defense Agency Administrative Building at Redstone Arsenal

NEW YORK, July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Turner Universal, a subsidiary of Turner Construction Company, announced the company has been awarded a $51 million contract by the Mobile District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) for the design and construction of phase four of the Von Braun Complex at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama.

In addition to the Von Braun Missile Defense campus, the project at Redstone Arsenal includes design and construction of a multi-story, 225,000-square-foot administrative facility for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Turner expects to break ground this fall.

Turner Universal, the prime contractor on the first and second phases of the complex, is working with design-build partner HNTB Corporation which will provide design services on phase four.
