LANSING, Mich., May 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Growth is the name of the game for TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®. The franchising world's premier moving services company is heading into Q2 riding a wave of 48 consecutive months of record growth. With 11 of those months including double-digit increases.

TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® disclosed a 15.88 percent year-over-year increase in revenue during the first quarter. Additionally, the brand opened 11 new locations, signed eight new franchisees in the U.S., and one new location in Canada.

Part of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK®'s phenomenal quarterly growth is due to Career Move Month, a hiring initiative that has proven to be a big boost for the brand. With the summer months rapidly approaching, the demand for moving services increases. In order to keep up with the increase in requested services, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® hired a total of 1,209 new employees out of a pool of 8,748 applicants in the month of March, rounding out the TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® employee count to more than 6,000.

To keep up with expansion goals, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® aims to sign 30 new franchise agreements by year's end. In order to achieve this objective, the brand looks to continue expanding into top markets throughout the country as well as pursuing its long-term goal of securing a larger international presence. New and existing locations are achieving record growth and profitability, and this is contributing to the system's positive results.
