U-M Health System named among America's best employers by Forbes
ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 9, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The University of Michigan Health System has been named the 26th best employer in the country, out of 500 companies ranked by Forbes on its new America's Best Employers List for 2015.
More than 20,000 employees at companies with at least 2,500 people were surveyed for the America's Best Employers List. In the survey, respondents were asked if they would recommend their employer — or other industry competitors — to a potential new hire.

The Forbes survey was conducted by Statista.com. According to their materials about the ranking, the survey used proven sampling methodologies to facilitate a deep understanding of employees' opinions and behavior. Participation in the survey was voluntary, and respondents were recruited from thousands of sources to maximize reach and representation. The list of best employers for 2015 includes 24 hospitals and health systems.
