UBC INTERNATIONAL Selects the World's Best Break-Dancing Crews to Compete in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, June 17 /PRNewswire/ -- The UBC-Ultimate B-Boy Championship will be held Friday Aug. 6 and Saturday Aug. 7, 2010 at MGM Grand, with eight of the world's best break-dancing B-Boy crews from six different countries worldwide.  This breathtaking event features stunning dance moves full of freestyle flavor, individual skills and athletic acrobatic stunts.  One World.  One Battle. One Champion. Elite break-dancers will compete for the Ultimate B-Boy Championship title and $50,000 cash.  VH1 Hip-Hop honoree Mr. Freeze, from the world famous Rock Steady Crew, will host the entire event.  The final eight B-Boy and B-Girl crews competing include:

-Starring in the movie "Planet BBoy", Las Vegas Knucklehead Zoo.

-From the home of Hollywood, Southern California comes Killafornia Crew.

-Hailing all the way from Russia, Top 9, winners of Battle of the Year in 2006 and 2008.

-Representing Brazil, a crew composed of the top Brazilian B-Boys, the Tsunami All-Stars.

-Coming from South Korea, the winner of Battle of the Year 2005, Last For One.

-France's Team Pockemon, Battle of the Year 2003 winners with Red Bull BC One champ B-Boy Lilou.

-From Japan, R16 Battle and Performance Champs All-Area Crew.

-Also from Japan, the only all-female B-Girl crew Qween of Qweenz.

This first-ever UBC event will showcase the best break-dancing B-Boy crews and individuals as they move from the underground community into the spotlight. UBC will crown the 'best of the best' at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, providing a unifying B-Boy championship title and cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.  With all-star judges and special guests, this premiere Ultimate B-Boy Championship will be a landmark in the hip-hop and break-dancing culture bringing B-Boy battles to a new level of athletic competition.

Individual day passes start at $45, $75, and $120, with the two-day package priced at $80, $140, $220.  Tickets do not include applicable service charges and taxes and are now on sale and available at all Las Vegas Ticketmaster locations (select Smith's Food and Drug Centers and Ritmo Latino).
