UberConference Teams Up with Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox to Jazz Up Hold Music

SAN FRANCISCO, May 22, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, UberConference announced that it has re-released its popular conference call hold song "I'm on Hold," with a new rendition by YouTube phenomenon Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox. With over 517,000 YouTube subscriptions, the group was challenged by UberConference to reimagine the song in as many musical styles as possible, and they came up with -- count 'em -- ten, including jazz, hip-hop, bluegrass, and even reggae. UberConference continues to find unconventional ways to engage its users. This tribute to hold music is yet another detail that enhances its user experience (UX) and gives a creative edge to teleconferencing. Co-founder Alex Cornell's original version of "I'm on Hold" has been UberConference's default hold music, surprising and delighting users since the company's launch and win at TechCrunch Disrupt in May 2012. Its catchy, tongue-in-cheek lyrics about waiting for others to join a conference call resonated with customers and livened up the conference calling experience for anyone joining a call early.

Scott Bradlee & Postmodern Jukebox are known for reworking 21st century pop hits -- from artists such as Miley Cyrus and Beyonce -- in a variety of vintage styles. This is the group's first mashup of genres, and will now be the default hold song on UberConference calls. While all UberConference users can choose between a number of default tracks (including Cornell's original version), Pro users have the ability to upload custom hold music.
