UBM Electronics Presents a Virtual Preview of 'DesignCon 2011 - Where Chipheads Connect,' Targeted to Chip, Board and Systems Designers

CHICAGO, Dec. 17, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Electronics presented a virtual preview of "DesignCon 2011 – Where Chipheads Connect" on December 14, 2010.  The event is targeted to chip, board and system designers.  UBM Studios, a leader in virtual events and virtual business solutions, provided the 3D platform for the event.  The event is now available on demand.

The virtual event, a first of its kind for UBM Electronics, drew 845 registrants and 204 live attendees.  Attendees remained within the environment for an average of 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The technical program addresses the critical issues around RF and signal integrity, PCB design tools, design verification tools, interconnect technologies, semiconductor components and ICs and several other key topics.

The live event offers more than 95 technology sessions, highly regarded keynote speakers, free sponsored training events and The Agilent Educational Forum.  The virtual preview  helps attendees prepare for the live event. In addition, select event chairs, speakers, and event organizers provided an overview of the DesignCon 2011 program.  

The Auditorium offers sessions focused on Chip-Level System Design and Verification; High-Speed Signal Processing, Equalization and Coding; Power Integrity and Power Distribution Networks; Electromagnetic Compatibility and Interference; Test and Measurement Methodology; RF and Microwave Signal Integrity; Analog and Mixed-Signal Design and Verification; FPGA Design and Debug; System Co-Design: Chip/Package/Board; PCB Materials, Processing and Characterization; PCB Design Tools and Optimization Techniques; High-Speed Parallel Interface Design; Multi-Gigabit Serial Interface Design; and High-Speed Timing, Jitter and Noise.

The Exhibit Hall features booths from more than 100 industry leading solution providers.  In the Networking Lounge event attendees were able to chat with peers one-on-one or in group chats.  All presentations were immediately available on demand.
