UBM Studios' Chicago Office Wins Gold in UBM's Global Office Competition to Reduce Energy Waste

CHICAGO, Aug. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- UBM Studios, the global leader in digital events, environments and communities, today announced it won UBM's global office competition to reduce energy waste.  From May 2011 through May 2012, UBM Studios and 50 other UBM locations across the world participated in the program.  This program is part of UBM's goal to reduce global carbon emissions by 5 percent by the end of 2012.

UBM Studios reduced its energy use by 28 percent by installing Energy Star appliances, purchasing energy efficient light bulbs and a copier as well as and reducing the office thermostat.
