UMA Students and Graduates May Register for One of Three Career Development Sessions; Employers Invited to Attend Cocktail Reception With UMA Staff and Job-Seekers
TAMPA, Fla., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ultimate Medical Academy (UMA) and its Career Services team will host a series of events for current students, graduates and healthcare employers in the Orlando area on Tuesday, March 20, 2012. Students and graduates of UMA's healthcare degree and diploma programs may choose from one of three career development sessions, while employers are invited to attend an evening cocktail reception and meet and greet. All events will take place at the DoubleTree by Hilton Orlando Downtown.
The UMA career development sessions will be held from 9-11 a.m., 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. and 2-4 p.m. Eligible students and graduates may reserve a spot at the session of their choice by contacting their Career Services advisor. Each session will feature a one-on-one meeting with a UMA team member, who will provide personalized resume feedback and interview coaching to help job candidates make a positive impression on prospective employers.
Career Development Specialist James Warren will conduct a special Think, Build, Live Success(TM) (TBLS) presentation that covers effective resume preparation, the ins and outs of submitting a job application, dress-for-success tips and more, including mock interviews to help job-seekers gain experience and confidence. Attendees have a chance to make connections with fellow UMA students and graduates. Those who are ready to enter the healthcare job market will have an opportunity to return during the evening reception to meet and network with prospective employers. In addition, all daytime sessions feature gift certificate drawings every 30 minutes.
The employer appreciation meet and greet will take place from 6-8 p.m. Guests are invited to enjoy an open bar and light hors d'oeuvres while learning about the services UMA provides to both students and healthcare employers. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with their industry peers and meet highly qualified students who are currently seeking career opportunities in the Orlando area.
Invitations are being mailed to employers that have existing partnerships with UMA. Other companies seeking trained allied health professionals are also welcome to apply for the event. Those interested in attending may contact either Christina Landgren or Susan Morrison at 877-224-4104 for more information.
