Mobile App Single Day Downloads Hit 2,000
SAN RAMON, Calif., Jan. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- GreyHeller, a global leader in mobile and security technology for Oracle's PeopleSoft and a Gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), today announced that the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is in production with its PeopleMobile® user experience platform. PeopleMobile®, which has achieved Oracle Validated Integration, powers mobile access to Oracle's PeopleSoft Campus Solutions application from any smartphone or tablet.
UNC Chapel Hill students can perform a wide range of functions on their mobile devices, including:

According to Kate Hash, UNC's Manager of ITS Communications, "Up until Friday, our largest download month had been 600 downloads of the app. On Friday alone, we had 2,000. It is clear that ConnectCarolina is adding value to the app and that the students are now discovering the app because they want to use ConnectCarolina."
As part of a broad roll-out and communications plan, UNC's CarolinaGo team trained orientation leaders this summer to provide freshman with information about the app. Even parents of freshman received information about the app during parent sessions.
UNC students have found the app to be successful, according to The Daily Tar Heel:
Kyra Rubin, a freshman at UNC, said, "I definitely use it. I've used it basically all week to find my class times."
Anna Kelly, also a freshman, said, "I have used it a lot to check up on my schedule, so I can pull up ConnectCarolina if I forgot the room number or the location of one of my classes."
