United Concordia Introduces Low-Cost PPO Plan Designed to "Grow" with Consumers

HARRISBURG, Pa., June 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- United Concordia Dental now offers a low-cost PPO plan designed to "grow" with consumers as their oral health needs evolve in Arizona, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Texas.

Using clinical data to identify dental services most frequently used by individuals as they grow older, the Healthy Stages Plan is designed to meet the changing oral health needs of people who have a history of good oral health—the Healthy Stages Plan.

The Healthy Stages plan covers cleanings, exams, and x-rays at 100 percent. It also goes beyond preventive services to cover unique procedures performed at a particular age. For example: sealants, under age 16; temporary crowns, ages 16-49; and denture adjustments and repairs, age 50 and beyond.

Employers located in the states where the Healthy Stages Plan is available can consider this as a lower cost alternative in a dual option program. The plan offers access to one of the nation's largest dental networks with more than 81,400 unique dentists at over 234,000 access points.
