United Shore Takes Over Birmingham Fair for Private Company Event

TROY, Mich., May 28, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- For the second year in a row, United Shore took over the 52nd Annual Birmingham Fair, hosting a private company event for its 1,200 team members and their families. In all, more than 3,700 people of all ages were in attendance and were able to enjoy free food and drinks, free carnival games, and unlimited rides.

The exclusive event is another example of the efforts United Shore makes to be a family-friendly company with unique and fun workplace perks. In addition to free tickets to local sporting events, United Shore offers discounted vouchers to concerts at DTE Energy Music Theatre, and has featured live performances by Boyz II Men and MC Hammer at recent company holiday parties.

The 2015 Birmingham Fair also kicks off United Shore's five-year sponsorship of the event, in conjunction with the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce. United Shore, one of the largest and fastest-growing independent mortgage lenders in the country, sought the sponsorship opportunity to highlight the company's commitment to a work-life balance and to local charitable and community efforts.

Throughout the weekend, United Shore invites the public to its talent recruiting booth at the center of Shain Park. United Shore continues to grow at an explosive rate and has received multiple awards as a Best Place To Work. Since January, United Shore has hired over 150 new team members and will add close to 500 more people by year-end.

The Birmingham Fair, located at Shain Park, is open to the public from May 28-31. Fair hours are Thursday, May 28, from noon to 10 p.m.; Friday, May 29, noon to 11 p.m.; Saturday, May 30, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m.; and Sunday, May 31, from noon to 9 p.m.
