United Way of the Desert Partners with Wellable for Community Wellness Program
BOSTON, Oct. 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Wellable, a leading wellness technology and services provider specializing in wearable devices and mobile app integrations partnered with the United Way of the Desert, a non-profit public service provider focused on education, financial stability, and health, to deliver the third annual Nine Weekly Walks & Workplace Wellness Challenge. This free, nine-week health and wellness program kicked off in August to help foster healthy habits in and outside of the workplace, spark employee engagement, and generate workplace wellness among the 28 companies participating across nine Coachella Valley cities. In addition to engaging in daily healthy behaviors, employees are encouraged to participate in community 5K weekly walks that benefit different partner organizations. The challenge culminates in the annual Palm Springs Aerial Tram Road Challenge 6K Run/Walk.

In addition to improving employee health, the program strengthens a company's culture and emphasizes the importance of strong, healthy communities.
