University of Phoenix Expands Partnership with Blackboard to Enable Next-Generation Digital Learning Platform Powered by Blackboard's Ultra Experience

WASHINGTON, July 17, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- University of Phoenix is expanding its partnership with Blackboard through 2022 as it delivers on its commitment to provide leading edge solutions to meet the unique educational needs of working adult students.  

This expansion builds on the strategic partnership between University of Phoenix and Blackboard and will include the transition of the University to Blackboard Learn with the Ultra experience, a feature-rich, next-generation learning management system (LMS). Blackboard's Ultra experience, deployed via software as a service (SaaS), brings important benefits to University of Phoenix students, faculty and administrators, including a more intuitive and responsive user interface. It also includes streamlined workflows and a personalized user experience that delivers aggregated and actionable information directly to students and faculty, with a mobile-first design that is fully integrated with the University's sophisticated technology ecosystem.

Following the completion of a successful pilot phase, the University is expanding its use of Blackboard Learn with the Ultra experience across its entire student body, with expected completion in the first half of 2019. As part of this expanded partnership, the University will implement additional Blackboard technologies, which will deliver further pedagogical assets across its more than 2,000 courses.  The University will leverage Blackboard Ally, Collaborate, and SafeAssign to further enhance their learning environment and student engagement with market-leading accessibility, integrated synchronous collaboration, and additional academic integrity tools.
