Unlimited Beer And Burgers At The Reader's Burgers & Beer 2017
Over 30 Breweries Join 20 Restaurants to Offer Unlimited Beer and Burger Samples to Ticketholders
SAN DIEGO, Sept. 6, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The San Diego Reader has announced the addition of unlimited beer tastings during their annual Burgers & Beer event. This year, along with unlimited burgers from 20 local restaurants and food trucks, event attendees will also receive unlimited beer samples from 30 area breweries. The Reader's 2nd annual Burgers & Beer event Presented by Jensen Meat takes place at Golden Hill Park on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 1-4pm. Ages 21+ only.
Previously, ticketholders paid separately for their beer, and event organizers anticipate that the unlimited beer tastings will be a welcome addition for the 1500 attendees expected this year.
"Last year was fantastic, but we wanted to crank it up a notch and give the people more of what they want," says the Reader's Alyssa Prestidge. "The brewing companies are thrilled to, too, so it's a win-win."
The burger vendors are on board with the change as well, and many consider it an obvious choice, especially in San Diego.
"Beer-tasting is a big deal in San Diego," says Cristian Liang of Common Theory Public House, where the menu features 30-plus rotating craft beers. "So I think this year it'll make the event that much greater."
Tickets for Burgers & Beer include:
- Unlimited gourmet hamburgers from 20+ vendors
- Unlimited beer tastings from 30+ breweries
- A vote in the Best Burger contest
- Live music from Tijuana bands
- Early admission for VIP ticketholders
Burgers & Beer offers event attendees the opportunity to sample the area's best gourmet hamburgers and beer and to cast their vote for Best Burger. Cash prizes will be awarded to one winner and two runners up. Winners will be announced live at the end of the event.
