UNX Hires Ruth Colagiuri to Head Global Product Management

NEW YORK, Aug. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- UNX LLC (www.unx.com), a leading provider of innovative trading technology solutions, welcomes Ruth Colagiuri as Managing Director, Head of Product Management.  She is based in New York and reports to UNX CEO Thomas Kim.

Ms. Colagiuri will oversee global product management of the UNX Catalyst® Execution Management System (EMS), an open-architecture electronic trading solution.  In this role, she is charged with directing the continued growth of UNX's electronic trading capabilities across asset classes to a broad range of financial market participants.  A strong focus will be on developing, marketing and delivering client-facing electronic trading technology to both the buy and sell sides.

Colagiuri also will oversee the integration of content and solutions from broker-dealers and third-party vendors into the Catalyst Portal distribution hub via the UNX Software Development Kit (SDK).  

Previously the head of Americas Execution products for Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Colagiuri was responsible for the full suite of execution products including Algorithms, Smart Routing, Crossing and DMA for Equity, Options and Futures.  Having joined Merrill Lynch in 2001, she was an integral part of the team that built Merrill's Electronic Trading business from the ground up.
