Urologist Cheryl Shih, M.D., Joins Chesapeake Urology Associates' Silver Spring Office

OWINGS MILLS, Md., Nov. 10, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Chesapeake Urology is pleased to welcome Dr. Cheryl Shih to the practice.  She sees patients in the group's new Silver Spring office located at 3801 International Drive. Dr. Shih recently completed her urology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle. 

Dr. Shih provides general urologic care for both men and women and focuses on robotic and minimally invasive surgery, enlarged prostate (BPH), kidney stones and erectile dysfunction.  In addition, she specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of benign and malignant kidney tumors, urethral stricture disease, bladder control issues, hematuria, bladder cancer and PSA Counseling. 

Dr. Shih received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the esteemed Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and completed both her general surgery internship and urology residency at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA. She received her undergraduate degree in public policy from Princeton University.  

Dr. Shih was born and raised in New Orleans, LA. She is multi-lingual and is fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and is experienced in Spanish.
