WASHINGTON, June 30, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- U.S. News & World Report, host of the national STEM Solutions conference and publisher of the STEM Index, today unveiled "A Parent's Guide to STEM," a new book that offers advice for parents looking for ways to help their kids excel in science, technology, engineering and math and prepare them for exciting careers.

"A Parent's Guide to STEM" is a lively and reader-friendly guide that explains what STEM is all about, covering everything from how to inspire scientific curiosity in a young child and help a student overcome a math slump to why coding is important and ways to impress a college admissions office. "This guide provides a roadmap for success in STEM that every family – particularly those from underrepresented populations and in underserved communities – can benefit from."
