U.S. Small Business Administration Selects Layered Tech Government Solutions as Hosting Partner

ASHBURN, Va., July 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Layered Tech Government Solutions (LTGS), a subsidiary of Layered Technologies, a leading global provider of managed hosting services, will continue providing secure and compliant hosting for SBA.gov after winning a competitive re-bid process. This new agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) extends the relationship for up to five years.  

SBA is a cabinet-level federal agency responsible for providing loan administration, counseling and other support services to encourage growth and development of small businesses. With more than 3 million visits per month, SBA.gov serves as the agency's public-facing online portal.

LTGS has provided secure hosting for SBA.gov since 2010, working closely with the agency on network monitoring, hardware monitoring and threat mitigation. As a federal agency, SBA also relies on LTGS to meet the compliance standards outlined by the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

FISMA compliance requires constant monitoring and adherence to more than 280 controls to ensure the security posture of government systems.
