U.S. Treasury Official to Speak at Financial Education Symposium
HARRISBURG, Pa., April 22 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The head of the U.S. Treasury's Office of Financial Education, Michelle Greene, will speak at the 4th annual Common Wealth Symposium on May 12, the Department of Banking said today.
As Deputy Assistant Secretary for Financial Education and Financial Access, Greene is responsible for overseeing policies and programs related to financial education, literacy, capability and access. She also serves as Executive Director for the President's Advisory Council on Financial Literacy.
The conference, to be hosted by the Pennsylvania Office of Financial Education on May 11-12, will bring together financial educators from community and workplace settings to learn new skills and share best practices. Sessions will include effective financial education programs, training and certification, and program evaluation.
