The Eagles team receives daily supplies of bananas from Dole, the official fruit supplier for the New Zealand tournament.
Number eight forward J.J. Gagiano, left, and winger Colin Hawley are seen here training before their match against Italy.
Gagiano scored a superb solo try against Australia in pool play, despite the team going down to their opponents.
The Eagles beat Russia 13 - 6 in a hard-fought first round match after narrowly losing to highly-ranked Ireland.
As one of 20 teams in the international event, the Eagles have acquitted themselves well and been praised for their play.
In their final pool play match yesterday (Tuesday) they were defeated 10-27 by a strong Italian side.
