USANA Congratulates Sponsored Athletes On Olympic Performances

SALT LAKE CITY, Aug. 15, 2012  USANA Health Sciences, Inc. (NYSE: USNA), a global nutritional company, today congratulated all of its sponsored athletes for their outstanding performances at the 2012 London Games. Team USANA took home three gold medals, marking a first for each of the respective athletes.

U.S freestyle swimmer, Conor Dwyer secured his first gold medal in the 4x200 Freestyle Relay event by clocking a time of 6:59:07, with the aid of fellow swimmers Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, and Ricky Berens, while Australian flatwater kayaker, Tate Smith and teammates David Smith, Murray Stewart, and Jacob Clear captured a gold medal in the Kayak Four (K4) 1000m Canoe Sprint. The medal marks Australia's first gold in the sport.

"We've struggled a little this Olympics," said Smith. "We've been close, but it's the Olympic Games and it's so hard to win a medal. To get this gold means everything to us."

One of the most recent teams to join USANA's growing list of elite athletes also represented its country in the gold medal football match. Mexico's National Olympic Soccer Team received its first Olympic medal in their nation's history, taking home gold honors after outscoring Brazil 2-1 in the 75th minute of play.
