USOCR heads into third year with energy, clarity and momentum
ATLANTA, July 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- United States Obstacle Course Racing (USOCR), the national association dedicated to the sustained growth of obstacle course racing, is heading into its third season with energy, clarity and momentum.
USOCR was first conceptualized in the summer of 2013 with the goal of supporting the growth and culture of obstacle course racing. The association was unveiled in early 2014 as the sport's first national sanctioning body, structured with a foundational emphasis on risk management services for racers and event managers.
Since that soft launch, USOCR services have expanded and solidified into a framework that makes it easier for athletes and spectators to enjoy the sport, and more efficient and profitable for event managers to help grow the sport.

In 2016, obstacle course racing's growing national presence included more than 1 million racers and 400 individual event managers, according to USOCR research.
To support that community, USOCR's core commitments include improving course safety, increasing event efficiency and event participation, fostering the entrepreneurial nature of obstacle course racing, providing foundational services that allow for maximum creativity by event managers, and promoting the unique culture of the sport.
