ATLANTA, May 28, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- LogistiCare, the leader in non-emergency medical transport management, has been selected to manage the Medicaid transportation needs of Utah and Missouri following competitive RFP processes in the two states.
The wins – which brings to 19 the number of state government clients for LogistiCare – are the latest in a series of new clients LogistiCare has signed in the past year. The projected population of Medicaid members in Utah and Missouri is a combined 1 million.
Earlier in 2013, LogistiCare implemented the largest non-emergency medical transport contract ever when it was awarded operations in New York City following a competitive RFP process. In New York, the company is responsible for more than 3 million Medicaid members as part of the contract that took effect Jan. 1.
LogistiCare manages 44 million non-emergency medical transportation rides annually in 43 states and the District of Columbia. The company oversees services for more than 17 million eligible members of Medicaid, Medicare and commercial health plans, a 37 percent increase from the 12.4 million eligible members the company served a year ago.

LogistiCare contracted with the Missouri Department of Social Services in October 2011 to manage the state's non-emergency medical transportation as part of an emergency service agreement. Following a competitive RFP process for a long-term solution, the Missouri Department of Social Services agreed to a new contract with LogistiCare.
