UTI Foundation Receives Generous Grant From the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation to Support Veteran Education and Students in Need

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., June 18, 2014 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Universal Technical Institute (UTI) Foundation is the recipient of a generous grant from the Diane and Bruce Halle Foundation. The grant will be split between the UTI Foundation's Military Transition Support Fund and its Student Pantry/Student Emergency Fund.

The UTI Foundation's Military Transition Support Fund helps veterans returning home from active service to transition into civilian life and technical education for a career in automotive, diesel, collision repair, motorcycle, marine, NASCAR or other transportation sectors.

"At the UTI Foundation, we've placed a priority on helping our veterans transition into well-paying technical careers by receiving a high quality education for which UTI is known," said Bob Bendotti, Interim Executive Director, UTI Foundation. For many veterans, this grant will provide financial support that will be the difference between dropping out or staying in school."

The UTI Foundation's Student Pantry/Student Emergency Fund provides food for any UTI student in need, and small emergency grants assist with unexpected life events such as a roommate moving out unexpectedly and need to cover a portion of a month's rent.
