Vacationers Donate 1,500 Hours to WorldVentures Foundation

PLANO, Texas, Sept. 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- More than 500 WorldVentures Foundation™ volunteers vacationing in Cancun donated 1,500 hours to support the Foundation's Mexico-based Impact Partner, the City of Joy, in August.

Furthering its commitment to supporting global change for children, the WorldVentures Foundation organized half-day Service Excursions to the City of Joy (Ciudad de la Alegria), where its vacationing volunteers made much-needed repairs to the 12-acre campus and spent time socializing with residents.

"These generous volunteers transformed the K-12 Scholarship School at the City of Joy into a fresh, inviting environment through maintenance, painting and gardening," WorldVentures Foundation Executive Director Gwyneth Lloyd said.

The volunteers were in Cancun as part of WorldVentures' recent Mega-DreamTrips™, which brought members from across the globe to the resort town for nearly two weeks for fun, relaxation—and the opportunity achieve the third prong of the company's brand promise, "fulfillment." To participate in the Service Excursions, volunteers made donations to the WorldVentures Foundation, which will support the nonprofit in its efforts to create change on a global scale for children.
