LOS ANGELES, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Frances Moreno, managing partner for Vaco Los Angeles, a leading consulting and executive search firm specializing in accounting, finance and technology consultants and direct hire professionals, today announced Ronda Ponciano, CPA, and Roopa Kapadia joined the Vaco Financial team as recruiting managers. Ponciano and Kapadia are focused on securing direct hire positions for accounting and finance professionals.
Both Ponciano and Kapadia bring extensive hands-on experience in accounting and finance to their new roles. Ponciano joins Vaco with 17 years experience in accounting and finance, with six of those serving directly as a controller or assistant controller. She's worked with both public and privately held firms. Kapadia has served in accounting and financial management positions for a variety of companies, including Ernst & Young, and is a seasoned recruiting professional.
Moreno stated, "Ronda and Roopa each bring such unique professional perspective to Vaco to best serve our clients. For Ronda, having spent many years as a controller in a number of industries, she has hired, trained and developed personnel, and knows what employers need and are looking for in their staff. Roopa combines her accounting and recruiting experience to ensure she identifies the right fit for a candidate. They understand both the employer's and the applicant's point-of-view and will provide great insight to Vaco's clients."
Ponciano said, "Working inside companies involves so many nuances that many financial professionals never see. I think this experience will make me particularly attuned to my clients' needs and able to find the best fit. In my career I've had direct experience with many of the positions my clients are seeking. I'm looking forward to making the best matches."
Ponciano and Kapadia will find candidates for all professional-level positions in the areas of accounting, finance, tax, audit and financial systems.
"I enjoyed my accounting and finance career, and I shifted to recruiting in this space because I found it enormously fulfilling to work with great candidates and help them find good jobs and really make a change in their lives," said Kapadia. "I engage candidates to help them hone their resume and interview skills to ensure they highlight their most important skill sets. The advice I give to candidates is to stay proactive, stay in touch with recruiters and your network, and stay positive."
