Vale Health and Safety Department Commits to Sologic Root Cause Analysis for Another Three Years

MIDLAND, Mich., Dec. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Vale, the second largest mining company in the world, has chosen Sologic as its exclusive provider of root cause analysis training, software and investigations for another three years. 

Headquartered in Brazil, Vale's corporate health and safety department has relied on the Sologic team (formerly Apollo Associated Services) to provide root cause analysis training and investigations since 2007. During that time, Sologic helped Vale set threshold criteria for conducting root cause analyses, and within that framework, Sologic RCA is specified as a required procedure to identify effective solutions.

Moving forward, Sologic will support Vale's organization of a formal corporate RCA team, along with further development of its RCA program and results measurement.  In addition, Sologic will help Vale to conduct dynamic analyses on multiple RCA reports in order to identify systemic causes and solutions with significant potential to reduce risk.

Sologic will serve Vale primarily from its office in Santos, Brazil, but global support and customer service will be contributed by Sologic's offices worldwide, which include Buenos Aires, Argentina; the United States; Asia; Australia; Europe, including Scandinavia and The Netherlands; and Sub-Saharan Africa.
