Valerus Completes Cryogenic Gas Processing Facility For Termoyopal In Colombia

HOUSTON, Aug. 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Valerus (www.valerus.com), a world leader in integrated oil and gas handling equipment and services, announced today that it has completed the engineering, fabrication, construction and commissioning of a 40 million standard cubic feet per day (MMscf/d) cryogenic gas processing facility in Yopal, Colombia. The project, completed in late June for the Colombian power company Termoyopal, will improve fuel quality for their nearby power generation plant and extract valuable natural gas liquids (NGLs) from the gas stream.

Valerus was awarded the turnkey construction contract in 2011. The design employed unique solutions, including a smaller footprint to accommodate the mountainous location, and modular, skid mounted equipment that reduced delivery and installation time.
