Valid USA Awarded Washington's Driver's License Contract

CHICAGO, Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Valid USA has been designated the Apparently Successful Vendor by the State of Washington's Department of Licensing for a new enrollment and central issuance system for driver's licenses and identification cards.  The project planning and development will start in January of 2015, with enrollment and card production starting in August of 2016. Under the 5-year contract Valid USA will manufacture & issue approximately 1.7 million secure credentials each year. In addition to traditional driver's licenses and identification cards, Valid will also manufacture & issue Washington's enhanced driver's licenses and identification cards. Enhanced driver's licenses and enhanced identification cards are acceptable alternatives to a passport for re-entry into the United States when borders are crossed by land or sea. 

The services Valid USA will provide as part of this contract include:  secure card manufacturing, card personalization and issuance, facial recognition, photo capture, and gated issuance. Valid will configure and interface their state-of-the-art solutions, WebLink ID and BioLink, as part of the delivery. WebLink ID and BioLink are modules of Valid's secure, web-based identity workflow software and are part of Valid's Identity Management Platform Solution. This platform solution can transform any PC with internet access into a feature-rich photo ID card enrollment and processing workstation. It is a configurable solution Valid provides and Washington's Department of Licensing will use it as a model for many years to come.
