"Project Management doesn't necessarily require a designated Project Management degree," editor Carrie Sealey-Morris explains, "many professionals in the project management field get there through certificate programs." A certificate program can often fulfill all of the requirements to sit for a Project Management Professional certification exam, which is the gold standard for project management. Certificate programs come in all shapes and sizes, from single bootcamp courses to week-long intensives, 5-week, 8-week, 10-week, or even year-long self-paced online programs." As Sealey-Morris states, "There is no right or wrong way to do it - just what works best for your professional and personal life situation."
