Vayama Donates International Travel Prizes for National Public Radio Fundraising Drive

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., May 23, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Vayama.com, the only online travel agency in the United States that specializes in international travel, along with NPR (National Public Radio) stations across the country are partnering together to offer international travel promotions during seasonal pledge drives.  Contributors to the pledge drive automatically receive entry in sweepstakes to win international travel prizes such as airfare and hotel accommodations to destinations worldwide as well as travel vouchers that can be used on Vayama.com.  Participating stations include KQED San Francisco, WNYC New York City, WBUR Boston, and WBEZ Chicago.

Vayama provided KQED San Francisco, which serves Northern California and is the most listened to public radio station in the nation, with two $1,000 vouchers to be used on Vayama.com. This month KQED hosted a weeklong fundraiser and during one day of the drive two contributors had a chance to win one voucher each.

Also during the month of May, Vayama provided WNYC, New York's flagship public radio station that broadcasts programs from National Public Radio and Public Radio International, with two $2,000 vouchers to be used on Vayama.com.  During the fundraising drive, contributors were automatically entered into the sweepstakes and two were selected to win the vouchers.

In March, Vayama provided Boston's WBUR, which produces and airs more than 25 hours of locally produced programs each week and reaches approximately 500,000 listeners weekly, with a trip for two to see Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band live in Dublin on July 18, 2012. The trip to Ireland includes two round-trip flights from Boston and five nights accommodations at the Red Cow Moran Hotel in Dublin. 

In October of this year, Vayama will donate travel vouches to WBEZ Chicago, a noncommercial public radio station that has been serving the people of Chicago since 1943. Travel vouchers that can be used on Vayama.com will be a part of WBEZ's fall fundraiser and listeners will be automatically entered into a raffle for the vouchers upon donation.
