VDA Productions and Symmes Maini & McKee Associates Team Up For Annual Canstruction, Design and Build Competition

BOSTON, Sept. 4, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- VDA Productions has teamed with Symmes Maini & McKee Associates (SMMA) to participate in the annual Canstruction design/build competition to construct giant artistic sculptures made entirely out of canned food.

Developed in 1992 with the vision to unite the design and construction community, Canstruction has grown to become one of the largest contributors to food banks in the world. Design/build competitions are currently hosted in over 140 cities world-wide accounting for the donation of over 15 million pounds of canned food to alleviate the plague of hunger and malnutrition.

The 17^th Annual Canstruction Boston event will be hosted by the Boston Society of Architects (BSA) from the build date of October 13, 2012 through November 3, 2012 and will benefit the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.
